Spike says:
Decent head, if poured vigorously. Pour too gently and you don't end up with much. Nice dark color. This root beer has a nice flavor, very surprising for something called "Best Health" and says "Root Beer Flavored Soda" on the back label. I was expecting root beer flavored Nyquil I guess. But then there's this picture of Ebbets Field on the label, and there's nothing healthy about baseball. That's the great thing about going to baseball games - the food. Hot dogs, peanuts, ice cream in those little helmet dishes. I guess since this stuff is bottled by a company with Brooklyn in its name (though not actually in Brooklyn) they should shown something Brooklyn-ish. Hey, Best Health, the Dodgers left almost 50 years ago. Update your label. How about Spike Lee? He's from Brooklyn. What, you don't think Spike could sell root beer? How can you lose with a name like Spike? Anyway, I digress. I'd say it's a notch above moderate for carbonation, just enough to give it some zing but not enough to cause pain. Still, it's smooth. Not smoooooooth, but smooth. Vanilla extract at work I suspect. This has a nice flavor to it...even a hint of something fruity. Much better than I thought it would be...very drinkable....a B.

Spike adds:
If they're using spring water, why is it triple filtered? What kind of skunky spring are they drawing from that they have to filter it 3 times? Wait, let me guess...um..."Love Canal Spring"? "Three Mile Island Spring"? Very strange. And why isn't "vanilla extract" included in the "natural flavors" in the ingredients list? What are the other natural flavors they don't want us to know about?
