Spike says:
- Good head, though it could have lasted a bit longer.
Nice and dark with fairly high carbonation. Sweet, with what tastes
like a hint of anise. A slight candy-like taste. The extra carbonation
hides what little creaminess there might be. I'm really at a loss for
words; there's not much to say about this brew...it's pretty middle-of-the-road.
Drinkable, but nothing outstanding about it. It lives up to its name:
"I Be C", except the carbonation takes it down a notch so
it gets a C-.
- Spike also sayeth, at a later date:
- I get more mail about my IBC review than any other review. Nobody
agrees with me: "Ooh, IBC is the best", "You're an idiot",
"Metallica rulz!" (yeah, go figure). So I re-taste-tested
it. You know what? I still think IBC isn't that great. Go drink a good
root beer and you'll understand. It doesn't suck. It just isn't my 1st,
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc choice.
