honey taken directly from the combs. Our extracts are prepared in a
gas-fired brew kettly by combining honey, vanilla and a host of aromatic
botanicals. For optimum enjoyment pour into a frosted mug to build a
delicious frothy head.

Spike says:
- Nice and dark, though disappointinly little head
(and I followed the label's instruction (see above) - I drink all of
my root beers in a frosted mug. Our freezer must have about a dozen
mugs in it). This root beer just smells nice. Very tasty, and as a bonus
it comes in a 16 ounce bottle. I like how the label says "Established
in Milwaukee - 1985". Get back with us in 50 years, Sprecher. 15
years isn't that long. But I digress. The sweetness has a slightly different
character to it, and no, it's not just my imagination because it says
"honey" on the label. It's milder, smoother. That smoothness
is due in part to the vanilla. Other flavors are all present in moderation
so nothing stands out. It's not particularly spicy, kind of bland actually.
It's tasty (and the taste is complex), but kind of middle of the road.
Perfect for the midwest I guess. Light carbonation. A good dinner root
beer (though I'm a milk guy, and no, I don't mix the two). Anyway, no
one will be offended by this root beer, it's good. B
